Mr. Irrelevant is doing pretty well for himself for someone with just two NFL starts to his name.
Brock Purdy, the final pick from the 2022 NFL Draft, is once again making headlines across the football world. Mostly because Purdy’s story — from the final pick in the draft to NFL starting quarterback in just a few months — is awesome, but also because he’s been dropping absolute dimes recently.
That trend continued on Thursday Night Football, with the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Seattle Seahawks. Purdy once again got the start for the 49ers with Jimmy Garoppolo injured, and the 22-year-old quarterback from Iowa State put San Francisco up 7-0 at the end of the first with this brilliant touchdown throw.
On second and eight from the Seahawks 28-yard line, Purdy pumped once then again for the double fake before tossing the ball to George Kittle, who sprinted into the end zone for a touchdown.

What a beautifully executed play there from Purdy on a great play call. Seems like the pump fake is becoming one of Purdy’s favorite moves to pull out from his bag of tricks. If it keeps working, there’s no need to fix it!
NFL fans were mesmerized at Purdy’s glorious double fake for a 49ers touchdown.
