Big Ten football head coaches vote a Michigan football player the best in the conference

Blake Corum is so good! Happy to watch him play for Michigan!

Blake Corum became a unanimous All-American on Wednesday after earning first-team honors by all five organizations that vote on All-Americans.

The awards and honors keep coming the juniors way.

On Thursday it was announced that Corum won the Chicago Tribune Silver Football winner. The junior running back was voted as the best player in the Big Ten by the conference’s head coaches.

Corum finished the season injured, but the junior had one heck of a season. He rushed for 1,463 yards, avergaing 5.9 yards per carry, and scored 18 touchdowns this season.

Corum is the second Wolverine in a row to win the Chicago Tribune Silver Football award. Last season Aidan Hutchinson was the recipent and Michigan has had 19 different players to win the award.

 

The award-winning back finished seventh this season in the Heisman voting. He was behind six quarterbacks.
