Ravens ILB Patrick Queen shares what he’s learned about ILB Roquan Smith

Ravens inside linebacker Patrick Queen shared what he’s learned about inside linebacker Roquan Smith

The Baltimore Ravens acquired inside linebacker Roquan Smith from the Chicago Bears in exchange for a second-round pick, a fifth-round pick and inside linebacker A.J. Klein. Smith has quickly gotten acclimated to the Baltimore defense, and has dominated alongside fellow inside linebacker Patrick Queen.

Queen spoke to the media on Tuesday, and was asked about what he’s learned about Smith so far during their time together. Queen mentioned that Smith has an extremely high motor, and gave more insight into the player and the person that Smith is and how he acts both on and off of the field.

“As a player, he just has a great motor; he doesn’t stop. If you watch film, you see every play he runs to the ball non-stop with his hair on fire and really lights somebody up. Then as a guy, [he is] the most talkative guy in the [meeting] room. He’s an all-around good guy; a great player, a physical player. How he acts as a person, you wouldn’t take him to be such a physical guy, but yes.”

Both Smith and Queen have been playing lights out football over the last few months, especially being able to play alongside one another. Both are prime candidates for Pro Bowl selections based off of what they’ve done in 2022, and will hopefully continue their strong play into the playoffs and far beyond.
