Former Alabama WR Traeshon Holden transferring to Oregon

It didn’t take long for former Alabama wide receiver Traeshon Holden to find a new home.

After recently entering the transfer portal, former Alabama wide receiver Traeshon Holden announced that he is transferring to Oregon. This comes after Holden took an official visit to Eugene this weekend.

The native of Kissimmee, Florida spent three seasons in Tuscaloosa. He saw his largest role this past season as he hauled in 25 receptions for 331 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

His entry into the transfer portal was somewhat surprising after seeing his increased role this past season. However, the Tide are bringing in a great nucleus of playmakers at the wide receiver position. Malik Benson, Cole Adams, Jalen Hale, and Jaren Hamilton will likely all sign on early national signing day in just over a week.

That will also help considering wide receivers JoJo Earle and Christian Leary are also expected to transfer from the program. Holden’s departure could sting early on in the season as chemistry could be a concern.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Alabama football players that have entered the transfer portal.
