Auburn met its first test last Saturday by battling a tough Memphis team, who owned two wins over SEC teams heading into the game.
Memphis outplayed Auburn in both aspects, defeating Bruce Pearl’s squad, 82-73, at Holiday Hoopsgiving at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Auburn will now move into a more stable routine after two weeks of playing just two games. The Tigers’ first opponent will be Georgia State, who enters with a 5-4 record. The Panthers most recently dropped a game to Northeastern, 66-46. Georgia State will enter Neville Arena in hopes of earning its’ first signature win of the season.
Next up will the first leg of the west coast trip, as Auburn visits USC in Los Angeles on Sunday. The Trojans are 7-3, with wins over BYU, Cal, and Oregon State.
