The Brooklyn Nets (16-12) visit the Washington Wizards (11-16) on Monday for the third of four matchups this season. The Nets lead the regular-season series 2-0.
In the first game between the two teams on Nov. 4, the Nets won 128-86 behind Kevin Durant’s near triple-double of 28 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists. Brooklyn did not have the services of Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons, or Seth curry.
In the second game on Nov. 30, the Nets won 113-107 as Durant scored 39 points in the contest. In fact, Durant is averaging 33.4 points per game against the Wizards this season.
For the Wizards, center Kristaps Porzingis comes into this game averaging 22.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game while forward Kyle Kuzma is averaging 21.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Washington has lost six of its last seven games and the win came in a 142-127 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Nov. 28.
