Ravens reportedly visiting with former FAU HC Willie Taggart

The Ravens are reportedly visiting with former FAU head coach Willie Taggart

The Baltimore Ravens have had plenty of controversy surrounding their offensive coordinator position over the past few seasons. Current offensive coordinator Greg Roman orchestrated one of the best offenses in history during the 2019 season, but the team’s offense has had recurring issues in recent years that stem from both play-calling and execution.

Pete Thamel of The Athletic relayed an interesting piece of information on Tuesday, as he reported that former FAU head coach Willie Taggart is headed to Baltimore to visit with the Ravens this week. Taggart has a wide array of coaching experience, with multiple ties to John Harbaugh and his family.

Taggart has been the head coach at five college programs, with his most recent stint being three years at FAU before being fired with only one bowl game appearance. There have been rumors of Roman and Stanford having mutual interest in the offensive coordinator taking the university’s vacant head coaching position, which makes the timing of the visit one to monitor.
