The Cincinnati Bengals had some major names step up during the win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13.
But they had some game-changing plays put on by guys who only played a handful of snaps, too.
Those game-changers and the ripple effects of injuries and Ja’Marr Chase’s return headline the snap count takeaways:
- — Joseph Ossai had the game-changing sack of Patrick Mahomes late on just one of his 12 snaps all game.
- — Chris Evans played just two snaps all game, yet on one of those scored the go-ahead touchdown on a pass from Joe Burrow.
- — With Hayden Hurst hurt early, it was Mitchell Wilcox playing 52 snaps (72 percent). He’ll have to keep that workload, if not more, going with Hurst out for at least one week.
- — With Chase back, Trenton Irwin got just nine snaps. The big three played 59-plus snaps during the win.
- — Rookie Cam Taylor-Britt had another trial by fire with Chidobe Awuzie gone, playing 98 percent of the defensive snaps.
