The Philadelphia 76ers begin a three-game road trip on Wednesday when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. They know they will be short-handed as James Harden and Tyrese Maxey work their way back from foot injuries, but The Beard may be back rather soon.
Harden, who last played on Nov. 2, has been out due to a right foot tendon strain. The Sixers have received strong play out of Shake Milton, who has taken a page out of Harden’s book, and have stayed afloat in the standings while he’s been out.
The original month timeline seems correct for Harden. Per Shams Charania, Harden is set to return on Monday when Philadelphia finishes the road trip against the Houston Rockets.
Sources: Two notable injury updates:
– Bucks star Khris Middleton is nearing his season debut, potentially as soon as Friday vs. Lakers.
– 76ers star James Harden is targeting return on current three-game road trip, likely in Houston on Monday.— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) November 30, 2022
Harden is averaging 22 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds so when he returns, he will give the Sixers a big boost on the floor in terms of their pace and ball movement.
