Former Alabama safety Eddie Jackson placed on Bears’ injured reserve

Former Alabama safety Eddie Jackson was placed on the Bears’ injured reserve after suffering a foot injury against the New York Jets.

Former Alabama safety Eddie Jackson was placed on the Bears’ injured reserve on Tuesday. This comes two days after Jackson suffered a foot injury against the New York Jets.

Jackson was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft. Since then, he has been named a First-Team All-Pro (2019) and has appeared in two Pro Bowls (2018, 2019), as well.

The Florida native has started in all 88 games that he has played in as a member of the Bears. This season, Jackson recorded 80 tackles, four interceptions, and two forced fumbles.

The injury will likely result in him missing the rest of the 2022-2023 season. This is a blow to a Bears defense that has struggled as of late.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Jackson’s professional career as well as other former Alabama players in the NFL.
