What a difference a year makes.
This time last season the Jaguars were still being coached by Urban Meyer, who is one of the worst coaches in NFL history, and everything was bad for a team that had recently drafted a surefire franchise QB in Trevor Lawrence.
Meyer, of course, got fired after the 13th game of the season last year (which was a total LOL for not even making it through one season in the NFL) and things instantly got better for the Jaguars.
On Sunday, Lawrence took a huge step as he led the Jaguars to a come-from-behind win over the Ravens with a TD pass and 2-point conversion in the final seconds. The former No. 1 overall pick was tremendous down the stretch and looked just like the player everyone thought he would be coming out of Clemson.
You know what else was tremendous? Jaguars safety Andrew Wingard ripping Meyer after the win while praising Lawrence.
"I'm so happy for Trevor because he had to deal with Urban Meyer last year."
"I would die for Doug Pederson I swear. I love the guy."Andrew Wingard with the best post game sound of this Sunday with @BrentASJax #ASJax pic.twitter.com/kdOINtDnn3

“I’m just so happy for Trevor because he had to deal with Urban Meyer last year as a rookie, and I don’t even know if he had a rookie year. To see the growth he’s made, not just on the field but with his preparation and his demeanor, all that.”
Wingard was right and NFL fans loved it. Also, that whole interview was awesome.
