Doc Rivers says Sixers stars Joel Embiid, James Harden working on the floor

Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers says injured stars Joel Embiid and James Harden are putting in work at the practice facility.

ORLANDO–As the Philadelphia 76ers continue their road trip by taking on the Orlando Magic on Friday, the thought of every Sixers fan is how close their star duo of Joel Embiid and James Harden are to returning to the floor.

Embiid will miss his third straight game on Friday due to a left mid-foot sprain and Harden will miss his 10th straight game due to a right foot tendon strain. Without the stars, the Sixers have had to scrap together a win here and there, but they really miss their leaders out on the floor.

Harden revealed back on Nov. 17 that he is on pace to return in the next two weeks which would put a return date for Dec. 2 when Philadelphia takes on the Memphis Grizzlies on the road.

With that being said, coach Doc Rivers isn’t sure when either of his stars are returning, but they are both putting in work at the practice facility.

“Not that I know of,” said Rivers when asked for an update. “I know they’re both on the floor at the practice facility doing work, but there’s no update as far as a return or anything like that.”

While the Sixers are still not sure when Embiid or Harden will return, it is important that they are getting work in on the floor. Their rehab and their work is going to be something to watch over the next few days as Philadelphia looks to get healthier.
