The North Carolina Tar Heels were stunned on Saturday night in Chapel Hill, blowing a 17-point lead in the second half, and falling to Georgia Tech. The loss moved UNC to 9-2 on the year and will certainly push them back in the polls.
And on Sunday, they fell in the USA TODAY AFCA Coaches Poll.
The Tar Heels moved down from No. 11 to No. 17 in the poll. The Tar Heels are now behind ACC teams Clemson (No. 8), and Florida State (No. 16). The loss stings for UNC who was hoping to find themselves in the Top 10 and move up in the College Football Playoff rankings as well.
