Stop us if you’ve heard this before. Iowa just beat Minnesota. That’s now eight in a row over the Golden Gophers. It was already the longest winning streak in the series for the Hawkeyes coming in and it isn’t stopping after Saturday.
A pair of second-half turnovers that star linebacker Jack Campbell was right in the thick of helped secure the 13-10 victory for the Hawks. It’s another day where Hawkeye fans are happy.
“Just really pleased for our guys. Pleased to get Floyd back in Iowa City with us and I just told the players, encouraged them to enjoy tonight. They certainly earned it. Hard-fought victory against a team that played extremely hard, so want them to enjoy that and then we’re back to work tomorrow. Got a short week here, so we’ve got to get back on task there, but just a lot to be pleased about,” Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz said.
Iowa is 7-4, the Hawkeyes are one win away from a repeat Big Ten West title and Floyd is coming back home to Iowa City. Let’s take a look at the best photos from the great winning night that was.
