If you looked up “knockout artist” in a dictionary of mixed martial arts terms, you might find a picture of [autotag]Anthony Johnson[/autotag].
Affectionately nicknamed “Rumble,” Johnson – a two-time UFC light heavyweight title challenger – was an absolute force in the cage and one of the scariest fighters in MMA history, evidenced by the fact that 17 of his 23 overall career wins (74 percent) came by either knockout or TKO.
Eleven of those 17 happened on the sport’s biggest stage of the UFC, against the likes of Glover Teixeira, Alexander Gustafsson, Ryan Bader, and more.
In the video above, you can watch all 11 of his devastating UFC finishes.
Johnson died Sunday, November 13, 2022 after succumbing to a lengthy illness that he largely kept private. He was 38.
His memory will live on with the incredible highlights he left behind.
"He was like, 'Ah, Dana's over there. We can't do it.' And I was like, 'No, let's do it.'"
We have Anthony Johnson to thank for that classic prank he and Jon Jones pulled on Dana White back in 2015. 😁#RIPRumble pic.twitter.com/y4JTimZIMy
