The Arkansas basketball program is one of the best in the nation. And whoever was running the team’s Twitter page on Monday is one of the best in the country, too.
After the Associated Press poll was released earlier Monday, Arkansas found itself up a spot to No. 9. The Razorbacks had beaten North Dakota State and Fordham in their two games during the season’s first week.
But as the team’s social media manager went to change the team’s name, s/he apparently could not. Twitter owner Elon Musk instituted a policy about name changes for verified accounts on Twitter last week. It has come under controversy and scrutiny alongside being the butt of jokes and viral memes since.
Hello @elonmusk our profile name is literally spreading misinformation please let us change it pic.twitter.com/FtXD11BRe6

It’s impossible to say if the account was actually able to change the name or whether it was just a joke toward the social media trend of ragging on Musk and the web site.
Either way, it’s excellent work.
Arkansas is back to the court on Wednesday when South Dakota State, the reigning Summit League champion, visits Bud Walton Arena.
