The University of Virginia community is mourning three of their own following Sunday night’s horrifying news: Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr. and D’Sean Perry — all members of the UVA football team — were all killed by suspected shooter Christopher Darnell Jones Jr.
According to USA TODAY, Jones Jr. — who was listed on Virginia’s football roster in 2018 but didn’t play in any Cavaliers games — was taken into custody before 11 a.m. on Monday. Until that point, there was a shelter-in-place order for around 12 hours after the shooting.
