The Baltimore Ravens went into Week 9 as a 5-3 football team and exited at 6-3 after a dominant 27-13 win over the New Orleans Saints on “Monday Night Football”. Baltimore got off to hot start, and ended up playing consistent football for most of the contest en route to their victory.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson finished the contest completing 12-of-22 passes for 133 yards and one touchdown, while also rushing 11 times for 82 yards. He missed a few throws where he had a wide open pass catcher, but got the job done. Running back Kenyan Drake had 24 carries for 92 yards and two scores, while tight end Isaiah Likely added onto his touchdown total with a trip to the end zone of his own.
On defense, outside linebacker Justin Houston stole the show, putting together a performance of 2.5 sacks and an interception. Inside linebacker Roquan Smith had five tackles, and the defensive unit held Saints quarterback Andy Dalton to just 210 yards passing and the New Orleans ground game to just 3.2 yards per carry.
Baltimore now enters their bye week, and will be able to rest and recharge ahead of the second part of their season. They’ll also look to get key contributors back, including tight end Mark Andrews and safety Marcus Williams, among others.
