The Minnesota Vikings are 7-1 after Kirk Cousins went back to Washington for the first time as a Vikings and silenced the crowd chanting “you like that” at him with a 20-17 win.
This team feels significantly different than the 2021 Vikings despite having a very similar roster to last season. The biggest difference is leadership.
The addition of head coach Kevin O’Connell and Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has truly changed the culture. The best example of this is how the team is enjoying themselves after wins, more specifically Kirk Cousins rocking the icy chains.

Prior to this season, his teammates had taken some jabs at him on the way out the door. This season, they are layering all of their chains around his neck and celebrating by dancing in the aisle of the plane.
It started out as one chain, grew to three and now it looks like he has five or six around his neck. The vibes around this team are immaculate and we definitely like that.
