The Chicago Bears probably aren’t going to beat the Miami Dolphins (with the way their defense is playing), but second-year quarterback Justin Fields has been putting on a show.
Fields has been on a tear over the last few weeks, where he’s developing into a star before our eyes — that, despite an underwhelming supporting cast. Fields has impressed both through the air and on the ground, where his athleticism has been too much for Miami’s defense to contend with.
But there was one play in particular that showed Fields’ star power.
Facing third-and-6 in the third quarter, Fields made the Dolphins defense pay with a sensational 61-yard touchdown run to bring the Bears to within one possession (a two-point conversion brought them to within three points).
As you can imagine, Fields’ long touchdown run had NFL (especially Bears) fans losing their minds.
JUSTIN. FREAKING. FIELDS.
