Mack Brown gets first career win in Charlottesville

UNC football head coach Mack Brown got his first career win in Charlottesville in seven tries with the Tar Heels victory on Saturday.

On Saturday, the UNC football program secured another win with a 31-28 victory over Virginia, despite its subpar play on the afternoon.

Not only was it a big time win for the Tar Heels to keep a strong hold on the ACC Coastal Division, but it was also a significant game and win for UNC head coach Mack Brown.

Saturday marked Brown’s first win in Charlottesville in seven tries all-time (1-6), dating back to his previous stint at North Carolina.

While the Tar Heels have had success over Virginia in Chapel Hill, Charlottesville has always been a thorn in Brown’s side.

The previous two matchups in Charlottesville were one-possession games, both three-point losses (44-41 and 20-17).

After the game, Brown was very excited, not only on the field but in the locker room. Part of it is the success they’ve had this year, but also his excitement in being back at UNC and seeing everything pay off.
