Arkansas freshman guard Anthony Black hasn’t played for Duncanville in about six months, but bad news still hit for Black’s former squad.
Fortunately for Arkansas, that eligibility doesn’t translate to the college game.
Black was a Top 50 recruit in the Class of 2022 for coach Eric Musselman. He was part of a six-person recruiting class that was ranked No. 2 in the country. Some NBA draft prognosticators have Black going in the first round of in the spring.
Black’s mother has filed a restraining order against the governing body to stop the organization from banning him for playing for Duncanville, per reports. The order was vacated by the Texas Supreme Court in September and Monday the ruling was announced.
Arkansas opens its regular season Monday at home against North Dakota State. Black is expected to start.
