If the game between Notre Dame and Clemson is as wet as currently forecast, the running backs will be especially important. Whether the Irish will have the edge with [autotag]Audric Estime[/autotag] will remain a mystery until after the game begins. He’s been pretty good for the Irish all things considered, but can he be productive against a team currently holding onto the last College Football Playoff spot? Talk about a good measuring stick.
The Tigers arguably have the better running back in Will Shipley. He has done more with more carries the Estime, and he has been a lot more useful as a receive when he’s needed to be. The flip side is Shipley doesn’t have a receiving touchdown this season, but neither does Estime. That probably won’t be on either player’s mind though because their services on the ground figure to matter more in what appears will be a drenched Notre Dame Stadium.
