Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore returned to the Jets last Monday after missing Week 7 against the Broncos in what seemed like enough of a message sent by the team following his trade request. Apparently, the Jets felt it wasn’t enough of a message.
Despite being active in Week 8 and with Corey Davis out with a knee injury, Moore played all of ten snaps against the Patriots and saw just one target. Moore is clearly still very frustrated. And some of that may be directed right at quarterback Zach Wilson.
Moore was asked after the game to describe his chemistry with Wilson. “I don’t know,” Moore said. “I couldn’t even tell you. I don’t get the ball. I don’t know.”

Moore also added that people don’t know everything behind closed doors that he’d rather keep behind the scenes. He also says he wishes he didn’t cause this much of a distraction because of his trade request.
The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt caught Moore’s comments after the game.

Moore talked about loving football and used the term “legacy” when asked why he made the trade request if he didn’t want to cause a distraction, which you hear at the end of Rosenblatt’s Instagram post.
Will the Jets trade Moore before the trade deadline Tuesday? That remains to be seen. But if they’re going to keep him, they should try to utilize him more because he does have a lot of talent that’s just going to waste if the Jets are going to not trade him and just be petty with him.
