Rams-49ers injury report: Deebo Samuel out, Brandon Powell questionable

Deebo Samuel, as well as 3 others, have already been ruled out for the 49ers in Week 8. Brandon Powell is questionable for the Rams.

The Los Angeles Rams were severely shorthanded against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4, but it’ll be the 49ers missing some of their top players this time around. Both teams put out their final injury reports on Friday and the 49ers already ruled out four players, including Deebo Samuel.

Arik Armstead, Dre Greenlaw and Kyle Juszczyk have also been ruled out for the 49ers, while Jauan Jennings and Jason Verrett are questionable. Samuel is a huge loss for San Francisco because he’s been a Rams killer. In seven regular-season games against the Rams, he has 555 yards receiving and three touchdowns, as well as 106 yards rushing and three scores on the ground.

The Rams’ injury report is much shorter for Week 8. Cam Akers has been ruled out as the team continues to seek a trade partner for the running back, while Brandon Powell is questionable to play. Everyone else should be good to go, including Brian Allen and Van Jefferson, who are set to be activated off IR.

Terrell Lewis missed practice for personal reasons Friday but Sean McVay said he’s expected to play.
