In addition to a slew of prospects taking unofficial visits, the Colorado Buffaloes will host two 2023 recruits on official visits during Homecoming weekend: cornerback Jordan Shaw and Arizona commit Rhino Tapaatoutai, an offensive tackle.
Unless the Buffs are able to steal Tapaatoutai from an improving Wildcats program, Shaw’s visit is the most intriguing to me.
Shaw is currently the No. 51 cornerback nationally in his class per 247Sports and has already taken visits to Colorado State and San Jose State. During his junior season at St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy in California, the three-star recruit racked up seven interceptions, eight pass deflections and over 1,000 receiving yards in 14 games played.
247Sports analyst Greg Biggins had some encouraging words on Shaw (h/t BuffStampede):
“He’s one of the most under-recruited players in the region and has the talent to play for just about anyone out West,” Biggins wrote on Shaw. “When you look at his on-field production and his explosive play making ability on both sides of the ball, he’s someone we thought would be among the more coveted players in the state.”
I will be taking a official visit on 10/29 to Colorado… @GregBiggins @skobuffs4150 @johnwdavis @YUNG_GURU_ @Coach_Chance @Ballhawk__8
