Sam Pittman excited for test on the road at Auburn

Sam Pittman believes his team is ready to go on a run to finish the season.

All preseason discussionw was had about how Arkansas has the most demanding schedule in college football and the challenging three-game gauntlet they went through. With Texas A&M – before they were bad – Alabama, and Mississippi State.

After three consecutive losses, we all knew the hype that bubbled to begin the season had fizzled.

Head coach Sam Pittman would disagree.

“I like where our team is,” he said about the current state of his 4-3 Razorbacks. “I think this is a big test for us, obviously on the road against a traditional rich program with really good players. But I’m excited where we are, and KJ (Jefferson) is a big part of that.”

Jefferson led the Razorbacks over BYU with five touchdowns, a win that ended their three-game losing streak.

Pittman believes the Hogs are ready to go on a run into the ladder end of their season. It’s not easier, though. LSU and Ole Miss remain on the schedule, both on home soil. LSU has emerged as a real contender in the SEC, giving Ole Miss their first season loss.

But first, you must win the next game to start a run.
