What the BCS rankings would look like through Week 8

This is really interesting!

Before the College Football Playoff took over in 2014, the BCS was the prevalent system, and it was a mystery wrapped in an enigma. The national championship game every year was seeded by the mid-to-late season poll (as were the other ‘BCS’ bowl games, which are now known as the ‘New Year’s Six’) which was a composite of the existing polls with an added computer ranking formula element.

Now, the College Football Playoff committee hammers things out, taking the computer element out of it (rightfully). But what if the BCS still existed? What would the polls look like?

There is a Twitter account that goes to great lengths to simulate what the BCS poll would look like if it still existed today. With that in mind, here is what it would be through Week 8 of the 2022 college football season.
