This has been a rough start to the season for Russell Westbrook, in more ways than one.
He played a very solid game on opening night last Tuesday versus the Golden State Warriors, going 7-of-12 from the field and finishing with 19 points, 11 rebounds and three assists.
Since then, he has been terrible. He has combined to go 4-of-26 in the last two games while scoring 12 total points.
The buzzards are once again circling over Westbrook’s head, and Lakers fans are begging for him to be traded as much as they ever have.
The former league MVP has also been playing with a bad hamstring that he suffered in L.A.’s last preseason game.
As a result, he is listed as doubtful for Wednesday’s tilt versus the Denver Nuggets.

With Dennis Schroder out due to a thumb injury, not having Westbrook would test the Lakers’ backcourt depth a bit, although off-guard Lonnie Walker IV had played well in their last two contests and Austin Reaves hit 2-of-4 from 3-point range on Sunday.
