Florida football fans are getting set for the big weekend coming up against the Georgia Bulldogs in the annual World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party held at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. The heated Southeastern Conference East Division rivals will face off on neutral turf with the Gators designated as the away team while UGA gets the home field treatment this year.
The ‘Dawgs are coming off a national championship-winning season and have maintained their momentum from last season so far in the 2022 campaign. Meanwhile, the Orange and Blue have struggled in new head coach [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag]’s debut campaign on Florida’s sidelines. Subsequently, this year looks to be a bit of a mismatch between the pair of historic SEC schools.
The Bulldogs hold a solid edge on the Gators in the all-time series with a 53-44-2 record dating back to the first meeting in 1915. Both schools own series-high seven-game winning streaks, with Florida’s coming from 1990 to 1996 and Georgia’s from 1941 to 1948. The long-time rivals have split their last two meetings but UGA has won four of the past five coming into Saturday.
