For one of the most revered players ever to don the maroon and white during his 2014-2016 collegiate career with Texas A&M, star defensive end Myles Garrett, who was the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns just cemented his name in Browns lore, becoming the franchise’s career sack leader at 62.5 after recording 2 sacks in Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots.

Going back to Garrett’s three-year stint with the Aggies, the former 5-Star recruit accumulated 31.0 career sacks, while having back-to-back 11 sacks seasons during the 2014 and 2015 campaigns, while also notching 5 forced fumbles in 2015. Due to his freakishly athletic 6’4″, 270-plus-pound frame, 4.40 40, and 33 rep bench press during the 2017 NFL Combine, he was a no-brainer for the Browns who held the coveted first overall selection in the draft that year.
In his first five seasons in Cleveland, Garrett dealt with a number of injuries that led to missing substantial playing time, meaning that his career sack totals would most likely be even higher at this point after posting 13.5 sacks in 2018, and 16 sacks in 2021, both being his only season with 16 or more games played.
So far this season, Garrett has recorded 15 tackles, 5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles in 5 games played.
