Big Ten power rankings after Week 7: A new No. 1 rises, once again

Is the conference back to the big two and little 12?

Ten of the Big Ten’s 14 teams were in action Saturday, and a couple of teams made a statement.

Michigan football absolutely annihilated previously undefeated Penn State, the No. 10 team in the nation. Illinois made another case that it should be ranked after downing Minnesota at home. Michigan State broke its four-game losing streak by beating Wisconsin in double overtime, Maryland survived its home game against Indiana, and Purdue held on against Nebraska.

Ohio State, Rutgers, Northwestern and Iowa were on bye weeks.
