No. 8 Tennessee (6-0, 3-0 SEC) defeated No. 1 Alabama (6-1, 3-1 SEC) on the final play of the game at Neyland Stadium Saturday.

The victory ended a 15-game losing streak in the series against Alabama. Tennessee’s previous win in the annual Southeastern Conference series took place in 2006.

Tennessee totaled 567 yards (385 passing, 182 rushing) in the contest.

Vols’ quarterback Hendon Hooker completed 21-of-30 passing attempts for 385 yards and five touchdowns. He recorded one interception.

Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt tied a Tennessee school record with five touchdown receptions. He finished the game with six receptions for 207 yards.
