ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan football finally got to play a ranked opponent, a top 10 team, no less, and it made it look pedestrian, at best.
The 10th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions came to The Big House and got shellacked in a 41-17 win for the Wolverines, though the game wasn’t even as close as the score looked, amazingly. Michigan never punted, settled too often for field goals, and let one big play and a turnover keep things tight going into the half before the maize and blue pulled away in the second half.
Fox Big Noon Kickoff was in the house again, the Wolverines honored the 1997 championship team, Michael Phelps, Aidan Hutchinson, and others, while also hosting several high-profile recruits.
WolverinesWire’s Isaiah Hole was on the sideline and captured the action, from the pregame, to the game, to the recruits who made it into town.
