2023 linebacker Korver Demma has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers as a preferred walk-on. He announced the news on Twitter.
Demma is an in-state prospect. He attends Gretna High School in Gretna, NE. He stands at 6’3″ and weighs 230 pounds.
Demma had received offers from a number of smaller schools including Central Missouri, Wayne State, Minnesota State, Northern State, Sioux Falls, and Missouri Western State. He also took visits to South Dakota State and North Dakota State.
Demma has ties to Nebraska. His mother, Megan Korver, played volleyball for the Cornhuskers and was an All-American.
Demma discussed his decision with Zack Carpenter of Rivals.
“I’ve been a Husker fan my whole life,” Demma told Carpenter.
“I’ve been watching the Huskers since we were in the Big 12,” Demma continued. “So when we moved back and I actually started talking to the staff and having the season that I’m having, it was a no brainer that when they gave me the offer [to walk on], I was just like, you gotta commit to that.”
