Nick Sirianni on embracing the rivalry between Eagles-Cowboys: It feels different

Nick Sirianni says the Philadelphia Eagles battle against the Dallas Cowboys has a big-time college football rivalry feel to it, and it’s different

It’s Dallas week, and as the Eagles prepare for a huge Sunday night matchup against the Cowboys, head coach Nick Sirianni is embracing the college-like atmosphere that’s set to engulf Lincoln Financial Field.

While a guest on Monday’s 94WIP Morning Show, Sirianni talked about the game having a different feel to it, comparing it to some of the college football rivalries like Mount Union and John Carroll.

“And so, it’s going to be a battle and we know we’ll have the advantage of home field advantage this week…It kind of feels like college,” Sirianni said. “It’s like Mount Union, John Carroll, I know to a much bigger extent. That’s the big one for me. And so, like, it feels a little bit different. You can just feel that. Really excited about the challenge that we have and we’re going to need the entire week of preparation to get ready.”

Sirianni called Dallas a “well-coached” team with a “great defense” and harped on Philadelphia needing to play their best game on Sunday if they want to win.

The Eagles’ first order of business will be to re-establish some sense of offensive balance after an ugly performance will questionable play calling down the stretch.
