Tennessee hosted Wake Forest Sunday in a fall exhibition game at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
The Vols and Demon Deacons played 18 innings. After 18 innings, Tennessee led 13-9.
The contest is the first of two fall exhibition games for Tennessee.
The Vols will play Memphis Nov. 6 in Jackson, Tennessee (2 p.m. EDT).

Following Tennessee’s game against Wake Forest, sixth-year head coach Tony Vitello discussed his team’s performance.
“I think information’s the winner,” Vitello said. “I don’t know who really won. I mean, game one, when we do this thing or the initial part of the nine innings, however you’re supposed to determine, seems to kind of be the main event, but overall you are playing a full day.
“I think again, the winner is just clubs getting information on their guys and how you’re going to handle certain situations. We got plenty for now, for the timing, for the beginning of our fall.”
