Dabo Swinney and the Tigers hit the road to take on Boston College at Alumni Stadium Saturday night, taking home a 31 to 3 win behind a stellar defensive performance.
Clemson came out of the gates scoring three points on the first drive of the game, but the first half ended up being a slow one for the offense. The only other points they scored in the first half were on a Will Shipley one-yard touchdown on the last drive of the half.
DJ Uiagalelei and the offense picked things up in the second half, scoring 21 points while looking like a far better team. Uiagalelei ended the game, completing 18 of 32 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns while having a great night on the ground as well. The junior quarterback took 12 carries for 69 yards.
The Tigers’ defense once again made their opponent one-dimensional, allowing just 34 yards on 30 carries, with Boston College averaging just 1.1 yards per carry. It was a dominant performance from Wes Goodwin’s defense, as they also added four sacks and an impressive 11 tackles for loss.
Clemson’s next game will be Saturday, October 15th, at 7:30, when the Tigers head to Tallahassee to take on Florida State.
