The South Florida Bulls (1-4) are on the road Saturday to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats (4-1). Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the South Florida vs. Cincinnati odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.
The Bulls lost at home last week 48-28 against East Carolina, and were never in it, trailing 14-0 in the 1st quarter and 41-7 at the half. The Bulls gave up 575 total yards (465 passing) and allowed ECU to go 3-for-3 on 4th-down conversions. On offense, QB Gerry Bohanon was 18-of-28 with 253 yards and 3 TDs and rushed 13 times for 74 yards and a TD. His top target was WR Jimmy Horn Jr., who caught 8 receptions for 180 yards and 2 TDs, and RB Brian Battie had 15 carries for 96 yards. The Bulls will need a big offensive performance while cleaning up their defensive play if they want to steal a win on the road.
Cincinnati beat Tulsa last week 31-21. QB Ben Bryant played an average game going 15-of-27 for 166 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT, but the Bearcats shined on the ground. RB Corey Kiner had 12 carries for 106 yards and a TD and RB Charles McClelland had 87 yards on 13 carries. Cincinnati had 198 yards on the ground to Tulsa’s 36. The Bearcats defense played well with 2 INTs, but the team as a whole will need to clean up their penalties, having 11 for 109 yards which is why the game did not turn into a blowout.

South Florida at Cincinnati picks and predictions
Prediction
Cincinnati 35, South Florida 14
Moneyline
PASS. With the staggering -10000 ML, this play is not worth the risk or reward.
Against the spread
AVOID. Even for a heavy favorite, 27.5 points is a lot and with Cincinnati’s hit or miss offense, this is a tough play. Although the Bearcats should take care of business at home, beyond their 63-10 victory against Kennesaw State, they have not shown an ability to put their foot down on teams of lesser ability.
Furthermore, the Bulls are 8-1 ATS against teams with winning records in their last 9 such games and 14-3 in their last 17 games following an ATS loss while the Bearcats are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against teams with a losing record.
Over/Under
UNDER 59.5 (-112). Whether the Under hits will be strictly on how many points the Bearcats’ defense gives up in garbage time when the outcome is no longer in question. Bryant and company will hope to use this game as a tuneup moving forward, but penalties and turnovers would prevent them from producing big numbers.
The Under is 5-1 in the Bulls last 6 road games and 3-2 in the last 5 games in this matchup.
