WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan is already trying her hand at acting, but there’s a certain big screen comic book franchise she’d like to join.
And no, it’s not DC to play Harley Quinn.
On a recent episode of the Out of Character podcast with Ryan Satin, Morgan discussed her recent work on the film “The Kill Room,” which is currently in production, as well as “another secret little project coming up” that she wasn’t at liberty to discuss yet.
Asked specifically if maybe it was a Marvel movie, Morgan said no, but added that she will get into the Marvel Cinematic Universe if she has her way (h/t to Fightful for the transcription).
Honestly, that’s — I will be in the MCU. That’s a goal of mine. This is not the MCU, but I will be in the MCU, I can just feel it. I don’t know how I’m going to finagle or finesse my way in there, but I know that there is a role for me.
You know what that means, comic book fans: Morgan needs some suggestions on which character to play so she can start bugging Kevin Feige and company.
Morgan’s upcoming opponent at Extreme Rules has some acting experience of her own. Ronda Rousey has appeared in several movies, including “The Expendables 3” and “Furious 7,” as well in a recurring role on the TV series “9-1-1,” among other projects. Something tells us they won’t be discussing Hollywood while they’re beating the crap out of each other in an Extreme Rules match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, but you never know.
Plus former WWE champ Sasha Banks has made her way into Star Wars canon, which is adjacent to Marvel under the Disney umbrella. We certainly wouldn’t bet against Morgan getting her wish and appearing in an MCU film at some point.
