If you’re an AEW fan, you’ve no doubt noticed that it seems someone is always unhappy with Sammy Guevara, whether it’s in the company’s storylines, real life or both. On this particular day, the person with the issue is Andrade El Idolo, as the two wrestlers have been going back and forth with some pretty pointed barbs on Twitter.
It started, as these things often do, with a subtweet.
You are a jobber. A favor hire. Be grateful bitch.

What set Guevara off? This interview that Andrade did with Más Lucha. When asked about recent backstage issues in AEW, Andrade said he never had a problem with the likes of recently suspended talent like CM Punk, Kenny Omega or the Young Bucks.
But he did take issue with Guevara, claiming Sammy once came back to the locker room to complain that he was being hit too hard (h/t to Fightful for the transcription).
They are all good with me, but I did have one issue with a wrestler. I am going to say his name, it was Sammy Guevara. I had an issue with him because he once came to the locker room and complained that we hit him too hard. It’s wrestling, solve it in the ring. If I hit hard, hit me hard too. I learned that he came in and that he accused me like a little girl. After I learned about it, I spoke to him and asked if he had an issue with me, but he said he did not and that’s all there was to it.
After seeing Guevara’s tweet, however, Andrade responded:
I said it to your FACE if you had a problem with me and you said NOTHING, I wont beat your ass because im a professional, don’t be scared.
When I say something I name names, and im not scared to get fired!

To which Sammy countered, claiming Andrade did not, in fact, say anything to him:
YOU didnt say shit to me you liar but heres some truth you ungrateful prick You would be jobless if it wasn’t for your dad in law. Are you really mad at me or mad at yourself for failing to get over for a SECOND time. Just go back to Wwe like we all know you want to do & fuck off https://t.co/licsudpp6o

Andrade sort of laughed it off and implied he’d see Guevara at Dynamite and would repeat himself if needed:
Ok I’m a liar 😂 see you on Wednesday!!
I'll tell you to your face again!!! and nothing you say that you do not have any problem!

Could it all be a work? Of course it could! This is pro wrestling, folks, and AEW has shown it has no big qualms about blurring the lines between reality and storyline when it comes to Guevara.
It’s just a bit of a weird look if that’s the case considering there’s been so much recent public perception that AEW is somehow out of control behind the scenes. And it’s not a work, just add this to the seemingly endless list of headaches Tony Khan and company have had as of late.
