Five-star shooting guard sets official visit to UNC basketball

The UNC basketball program will host this top prospect in the 2024 recruiting class in the month of October.

Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program are fresh off a weekend hosting four-star forward Zayden High for a visit. The visit kicked off a busy next few weeks for the Tar Heels in terms of official visits for the program.

And on Sunday, another player scheduled a visit to Chapel Hill for the Fall.

Five-star shooting guard Ian Jackson has scheduled his visit to North Carolina on October 28th, per Adam Zagoria of Zag’s Blog. In addition to the UNC visit, Jackson will also visit Oregon on October 21 and LSU on November 5th, according to the report from Sunday:

The 2024 prospect is one of the top players overall in the class and is a priority recruit for Hubert Davis and his staff.

Jackson ranks No. 2 overall, the No. 2 shooting guard and No. 1 player in the state of New York per the 247Sports recruiting rankings. The Tar Heels have kept a very close eye on Jackson in his recruitment and with one player committed so far in 2024, they’d love to add another big five-star recruit.
