The Denver Broncos could be without running back Javonte Williams for the rest of the season after he injured his knee in the Week 4 loss to Las Vegas.
Williams left Sunday’s game with a knee injury and had to be carted off the field, not returning for the remainder of the game. And following the game, the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that there is not a lot of optimism on the Broncos side with the injury and that Williams likely suffered a serious knee injury.
That means Williams will miss extended time and could be out for the rest of the year:
#Broncos RB Javonte Williams is feared to have suffered a serious knee injury, source said. He’ll have an MRI tomorrow to determine the full extent, but there is not a lot of optimism surrounding the injury.

That’s disappointing news for the former UNC standout who is in his second season with the Broncos. After a breakout campaign as a rookie, Williams entered this year with a lot of praise.
And while shared carries with Melvin Gordon this year, he managed to rush for 176 yards on 37 carries through the first three games.
The Broncos will have an MRI done on Monday in hopes that it isn’t a serious injury.
