Alabama’s win over Arkansas made a clear statement to AP Poll voters that the Crimson Tide is the best team in the nation. Georgia, who has held on to the No. 1 spot since Week 2, didn’t appear dominant against Kent State at home last week and certainly struggled on the road against Missouri in Week 5.
The Crimson Tide reclaims the No. 1 placement after a hiatus that only lasted a few weeks. The month of October will be a true test for Alabama. Arkansas can be crossed off the list, but future opponents include: Texas A&M, Tennessee and Mississippi State.
The rest of the top 10 doesn’t feature any notable changes other than Penn State and Ole Miss joining the pack.
Roll Tide Wire will continue to cover Alabama football as the 2022 season continues.
