It was far from a picture-perfect afternoon for college football in Beaver Stadium on Saturday, as Penn State won a sloppy game against Northwestern to remain undefeated in the 2022 season. But sometimes you have to win an ugly one to get the job done. That was exactly what Penn State managed to do in Week 5 with a 17-7 victory over the visiting Wildcats.
Penn State’s defense made up for the struggles of the offense by coming up with big turnovers and forcing turnovers on downs to hold off any threat of an upset by the woeful Wildcats.
