Final injury report before Saturday’s matchup vs. Mississippi State

The 17th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies are set to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in week 5 of the 2022 College football season, facing their first challenging true road game of the year, and just a week removed from their thrilling 23-21 victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Coming out of the game, no injury news this season hit harder than the season-ending injury to senior wide receiver Ainias Smith, who suffered a devastating lower-body injury in the second half against the Razorbacks, but has successfully completed surgery while updating Aggie nation during his recovery.

During Monday’s weekly press conference, Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher answered numerous questions regarding the loss of Ainias Smith for the year,  combined with the assumed return of nose tackle McKinnley Jackson this Saturday, who was a game-time scratch before the Arkansas game last weekend.

One under-the-radar injury update concerned freshman defensive lineman Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy, who has yet to make his season debut due to an off-season injury. On Wednesday, Brownlow-Dindy spoke to TexAgs to report that he had healed from his knee injury and expects to return to action as soon as he feels comfortable doing so.

With that, Gig ’em, and BTHO Mississippi State
