Indianapolis Colts safety Julian Blackmon has been ruled out for the Week 4 game against the Tennessee Titans, according to head coach Frank Reich on Friday.
Blackmon suffered an ankle sprain in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs and while Reich wouldn’t go into details about the injury, the third-year safety failed to practice at all this week.
Frank Reich: S Julian Blackmon (ankle) is ruled out for Sunday.
LB Shaquille Leonard is questionable.

With Blackmon out against the Titans, the starting safety rotation will be interesting. It’s likely that veteran Rodney McLeod will continue his takeover as a starter after he played 100% of the snaps in Week 3.
However, we could see a rookie tandem between third-round pick Nick Cross and seventh-round pick Rodney Thomas II. It was Thomas who replaced Blackmon after his injury, logging 81% of the snaps while Cross played just one defensive snap all game.
The Colts have a short week coming up after the home game against the Titans so it will be interesting if that will give Blackmon enough time to heal.
