Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell was the harbinger of bad tidings on Friday. Campbell effectively ruled out star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
“I would say he’s out,” Campbell said prior to Friday’s practice. “Looks like he’s out.”
St. Brown has been dealing with an ankle injury he suffered in the Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The second-year wideout is the team’s leading receiver and top offensive weapon. He missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday and Campbell indicated St. Brown will also miss Friday’s walkthrough.
On a more positive note, Campbell did say starting WR DJ Chark will participate in Friday’s practice and should play on Sunday.
