The injury bug is back with the Chargers.
Wide receiver Jalen Guyton tore his ACL in Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars and will miss the rest of the 2022 season.
The injury occurred late in the fourth quarter when Justin Herbert targeted him near the end zone, and he came up clutching his knee and couldn’t make it off the field on his own.
The announcement of Guyton’s season-ending injury comes on the same day as Rashawn Slater’s bicep injury that will cause him to be sidelined for the remainder of the year.
Losing Guyton is crucial to the offense, as he is the only wideout with the speed to stretch the field.
In his four seasons with Los Angeles, Guyton had 61 catches for 1,023 yards and six touchdowns while starting 11 of the 38 games he appeared in.
