49ers inactives: DL Arik Armstead OUT vs. Broncos

Arik Armstead is officially OUT for the #49ers vs. the Broncos. It’s his first game missed since 2017.

The 49ers will not have one of their top defensive lineman Sunday night in Denver. Defensive tackle Arik Armstead has officially been ruled out with a foot injury he suffered in Week 2.

He was out of practice all week prior to being listed as ‘questionable’ on the injury report. Armstead worked out before the game, but was unable to get to a place where he’d be able to suit up Sunday night. This is the first game he’s missed since 2017.

Here’s the full list of inactives for Week 3:

DL Arik Armstead (foot)
OL Daniel Brunskill (hamstring)
RB Tyrion Davis-Price (ankle)
TE Tyler Kroft (knee)
DL Kemoko Turay
OL Nick Zakelj

It’s also noteworthy that TE George Kittle is not among the inactives for the first time all year. He missed the first two weeks with a groin injury and practiced in full Friday after two limited practices to begin the week. He’ll make his 2022 debut vs. the Broncos.
